It’s a special episode as I made it out to Florida for Labor Day. Our first in-person recording in a while and it got weird. We talk about The Outer Worlds, No Man’s Sky, and Cooking Simulator. BMW Microtransations and a surprisingly long rant about subscriptions.

It’s summer time and that means movies and tv I guess. We talk Thor: Love and Thunder while trying to understand the post-covid phase 4 goals. Netflix and why they need to stop. And we talk a little bit about video games like Hades and Valheim while I manage to talk about old man YouTube channels about city infrastructure and planning.

It’s Morbin’ time and neither of use watched the movie, so we don’t know if that’s a line or not. I finally finished Tunic. William Finished Elden Ring. I fell back into Hades with a brief FF7 Remake Intermission. We wrap up talking about the new Kids in the Hall.

I try to pitch Tunic to William. We discuss Elden Ring’s “hitbox gore”. Somehow Kingdom Hearts 4 is already announced. There’s a long tangent on J.J. Abrams and how terrible Fringe is. There’s also Digital Coke now.
Update: I poorly edited the original and cut the ending off, but that has now been restored!

I give William a minute to get Elden Ring out of his system before I talk Bayonetta 2. We briefly discuss time travel rules, what it meant to be a PG-13 movie in the 80s, and Japan’s issue with the mosaic filter. Then it’s on to the future of the videogame industry and NFTs, and we top it off with edible ears and other possible celebrity violence inspired foods.

William decides to predict the plot of The Batman as we come up with our first bit we end up calling “Unviews.” We finally discuss how we finished Assassin’s Creed Valhalla after playing too long. I talk Hades and William brings up Elden Ring. And at some point we talk about comic book religion.

It’s Valentine’s Day and that means we’re talking about the Super Bowl, or rather we talk about mascots and the Air Bud movies. Valentine’s Day also means Batman and Pizza and the Batman pizza calzone hybrid. We’ve also been playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and discuss the mechanics and difficulty settings as well as what we can remember about Assassin’s Creed lore.

We’re back from holiday and starting the new year with discussions of The fourth Matrix movie, Boba Fett and living in an age of nostalgia. The potential for a Marvel Cinematic Oroboros. Batman, The Cereal, how NFTs are disgusting, more Star Wars somehow, and end with asking why I’m not just killing everyone in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

This week we have a PSA about frozen pizza that you really should listen to. Then we move on to games like finishing up The Ascent, Narita Boy, and Hob. Secret endings to games and Mass Effect. Shooting your boy in the face in Fallout 4. And I admit I’ve come around on Ted Lasso, but we don’t think it’s a comedy show.

This week we talk Arby’s Curly Fry Vodka and what the future of quick service liquor holds. Hob, wrapping up Ghost of Tsushima’s Iki Island expansion. More talk about The Ascent’s odd design choices. Skyrim is coming out again? Remember VR? And the insanity that has been the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition release and why I should stop being excited for things.
